Swimteam, 2014

Our Team.
We Love them :)

Our Coach...who we also love :)

Quincy's best stroke is backstroke....
but I am thinking that will be
replaced by fly next year.

Ellie's best stroke is everything but backstroke....which is pretty typical for our Yin-Yang girls.

She swims her 25 free in under 20 seconds and gets faster at longer distances.

The 50 Free and the 25 Fly are her best events.

She's like the Energizer Bunny in water.

Our last meet was at GA Tech---at the 1996 Olympics  Aquatic Center.

Tim was a timer...I was the team photographer (but I only know how to push the green button on the camera so I wasn't a very good one :)

Coach Kevin giving a pep-talk before the girl's first event...

To make the 50 meter pool into a 25 yard pool they put floating dividers down the center that the kids can start off during the relays.  Kind of neat.

The pool is so far below the starting blocks that some kids (namely Quincy) can't get out on their own.

Ellie's dives look like she's flying through the air.

Our Assistant Coach looks like Prince Phillip from Maleficent.

At the end of the meet the GA Tech Diving team came to practice.....and one of them was Tim's AP Physics student from last year!

Post-Tech Mexican food....

It was a GREAT season!

Uncle Bill's Surf School, part 17?

Ryan (attempting) going tandem with Quincy...
....if Quincy had a serious bone in her body (about sports) it might have actually worked!

That's Quincy's head under Ryan's foot.

Aunt Liz and Aunt Jill :)

Jack!

Ryan is just an awesome cousin...
He will make a great father, coach, and teacher one day :)

Uncle Bill :)

Seaside, 2014

We have been down to the gulf a zillion times but this was the prettiest I have ever (ever!) seen it!
The water was as clear as the Caribbean and the air temp wasn't that bad.

The girls were in heaven with an endless supply of playmates (we were down there with six other
super fun and kind kids)....

...and Tim and I felt like we were in heaven hanging with some of our besties.
(Aunt Cathy and Uncle Dave)

Found a big hermit crab (I put him back in the ocean after I showed the girls)

The main method of transportation down there is by bike....

...which we took one day to visit the Sugar Shack....

....AKA Quincy's dream store :)

Dance Recital, 2014

Another year of dance comes to a close....
...and Quincy is totally okay with it :)

Quincy's ballet performance was Swan Lake (and it was really pretty!)

Completely blurry---We can't use a flash during the performance....

Waiting in the wings watching the older girls do their thing...

Quincy and Haley (who have been dancing together for four years!) also did a Character Dance this year....
...it was some kind of Polka thing....I think.
It was cute!
