Ellie

Just another day in the life of Ellie....

Having Tea

Quincy and Ellie's current favorite books are Madeline and Madeline's Rescue. They walk around reciting the books word-for-word at random times during the day (In an old house in Paris covered with vines....) and they like to have long discussions on what Miss Clavel (or Lord Cucuface, etc) is doing in such-and-such a part in the book. Since Madeline had Camomile tea one day after she fell in the river and almost drowned, Tim decided to make them Camomille tea so they would know what it was. It was the first time they got to use their little tea set with real tea.

A Great Weekend, Part 1

The weather has turned beautiful...it's not super hot anymore and there isn't much humidity so we are finally able to enjoy the outdoors again. Good times....

Quincy bailed on her bike half way through the ride and decided she wanted to jog instead.

A Great Weekend, part 2

We haven't been to the playground since last May! Apparently Quincy has grown (motor-skill-wise) since then as she now has no problem doing the complete Monkey Bars.

Labor Day at The Heads

Good times are always had by all at Dave and Cathy's....

We love Uncle Dave....

Ellie is starting soccer!

Ellie has been waiting a long time to play soccer. The day finally came...and she was ready to go---all decked out in pink.

Quincy, on the other hand, has zero interest in soccer....

Ellie had a GREAT first practice!

...and Quincy has started ballet

While Ellie loves any sport with a ball, Quincy has expressed an interest in dance. So, here she is before her first dance practice...all smiles, right?

And here she is during her first class...crying her little heart out. When I asked her on the way home what happened, she replied, "I missed sister". It melted my heart.

Her second and third classes have been much better. She is now back to all smiles and really enjoys each class to the fullest. Yay!
