February---it went by fast!

The girls (and Liana!) went to their first Robotics Scrimmage.
Above are some of my (super wonderful) students who built the robot.

Safety glasses...because safety never takes a holiday. :)

John Edgar...who the girls love sooo much....
.....and he loves them right back :)

And we got to spend some great time with Quincy's BFF---who I love like a 3rd child :)

Dioramas (and Valentine's Day)

Ellie's first diorama.

Quincy's first diorama.

I think Quincy's answers to the last two questions pretty much sum her up :)

Easy-peasy Valentines this year....
...only took five minutes to put together.

A vast improvement over the work-intensive Valentines from last year....

*Just. So. Great. Being stuck inside together....*'

During all the days  we were iced-in we had tons of time to finally get around to playing with the great building activities the girls received for Christmas.

Quincy built another sound-activated circuit....
Ellie built a Sky Rail....

...Tim placed his remote-control Helicopter on the beginning of the track....
...which lifted the track and set the marble(s) in motion down the Sky Rail.....

...and when the marble crashed into the circuit board it made a small 'click' which triggered the sound-activated speaker to start playing "Happy Birthday"!  Rube Goldberg :)

The girls also received a Goldiblock's Spinning Machine which is an AWESOME building set---it comes with a creative little story to follow that assists in helping you build the device.  An engineering set created entirely for girls!
...and we played a LOT of Blokus.
Of which I have never won.
Ever :(

Toothless (again)

Real life imitating art.

A few months back Ellie dressed up as her favorite book character, Toothless.

She is now pretty close to actually being toothless....
two (big ones!) in one week :)

Four Days of Bliss

This is what we woke up to.
So we headed out and made a full day of it.

Dragging the girls up the big hill....

...so they could come right back down.

Once everyone saw Tim do this we (of course) had to try to imitate him.
I didn't want to break a bone so I stayed closer to the ground....

...but the girls were all over trying to stand up!

Yet another Best. Day. Ever.

No school again tomorrow...
...so we're taking the girls to see Frozen!
For the 3rd time :)
