Ellie's First T-Ball Game!

The day began with the family waking up at 7 a.m. today to get Ellie to her team pictures at 8 a.m. Not a big deal waking up so early for the photos since her first game of the season was right after that at 8:30, right? Except that her team photos aren't until March 26th. Oops.

Sunday...

 Today was a beautiful day to close a rediculously sad weekend.  Tim's father was laid to rest yesterday;  the girls are handling it about as well as four year olds can......they don't fully understand it yet. 

After spending some time at our favorite place to ride bikes, we went home where Ellie practiced her throwing for T-Ball.  She's really quite good...

Quincy, on the other hand, has zero interest in T-Ball.....she prefers just dilly-dallying around.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ellie and Quincy's school is having a Valentine's Day party today so we went to the local craft store and purchased all things red, pink and glittery and then got busy with our glue sticks and glue guns.

Favorite Story-book Character Dress-up Day at School

Last week Ellie and Quincy's school had "Dress Up as your Favorite Story-book Character Day". Ellie chose Madeline and Quincy chose Pinkalicious.  That's all.

Happy (Belated) Lunar New Year!

Snowed (iced?) in---for a week!

We had snow. And then it turned to ice. Two thick solid inches of ice. And it was just the most unexpected fun ever!

Quincy decided she needed her (fake) glasses in order to see....for two days straight.  Then her eyes miraculously regained their normal vision.  God's wonders never cease.

 During the week we took pictures (lots!)...

 ...and slept (a lot!)....

 ...and played games (a lot!)....

 ...and read....(a lot!)

 ...and read some more (a lot!).....

...and then it thawed enough just in time for ballet.  It was a good week.

A State of Emergency in GA---we got three inches of Snow!

Yes, BBK---I know...we're a bunch of wusses here in the south....but we have a snow day!  Don't be a hater....and it was actually more like 6 inches of snow....

The snow was actually too deep to sled (Is that possible???  Is there some trick that we don't know????...Like maybe using something other than a trash can lid as a sled???)...We kept getting stuck....but it didn't stop us from trying!
