With Family in Savannah....

We just got back from a (way too short) visit with family in Savannah.  We mainly just spent the time indoors chatting with each other, but we did manage to sneak out to Tybee Island for a walk on the pier.

I managed to get some photos...but not of everyone I wanted to snap.  Above:  The girls helping (???) grandma Judy make a salad....

Patrick and Jack....Jack is very camera shy....
Aunt Liz and Elliebean...
Uncle Bill and Quincy...

And Granger...who I am relatively certain is happy to have his house back to a quiet state now that we're home....

Snow!

Christmas!

Santa arrived at our house sometime in the night, had some milk and cookies, and left behind some books, some dolls, and two new bikes!

Thanks for the beautiful nightgowns (their first!), BBK! They love them!

After a wonderful afternoon spent at Mimi and Grandpa's we made the crazy drive home in the middle of a snow storm (okay, it wasn't a storm, but it was snowing pretty hard!). We all went to bed with our backyard looking something like an Ansel Adams photo.

The Night Before Christmas...

....we made Gingerbread Men cookies for Santa.

Quincy concentrates soooo hard when anything with sugar is involved....

 The final product....
...of which two were left for Santa, alongside a glass of milk.

Legos and Cookies

While Quincy and I were busy making Holiday (Easter shaped) cookies.....

....Tim was in the living room playing Legos with Ellie.  Ellie walked in, handed me the figure below, and said, "Look Mommy, Daddy made a Lego of you.".  Huh.

Uncle's Mike and Eric

Seriously, guys....just buy the house next door to us....

Two completely random photos...

Ellie was playing with a Barbie in the bathtub the other day and said, "Look Mommy, Barbie is doing Ballet".  Ouch.
Above (on the right in the mess of dogs) is Judy's new dog, Granger.  He is a love....

Slumber Party

One weekend the girls wanted to sleep in the same bed.  Ellie has twin-over-twin bunk beds, Quincy has a full---both of those are too small for the girls to sleep in without waking each other (and, more importantly, us) up all night.  So, into the guest room it was.  They had a great time...
