We Moved :))))

Last Christmas break we began the kind-of-large task of cleaning to get the house ready for the market.  We hit the market at the end of February, got a contract pretty fast, set the closing for 60 days later, and then moved.  It sounds easy, but it was an ordeal (as every move tends to be).

We found our dream home, but we don't close on it until the end of May.  So, we are officially homeless.  BUT.....we totally completely absolutely lucked out: My sister-in-law's parents (who are probably some of the nicest people in the world) have an apartment in their basement that they allow people that are in pickles (like us) to live in temporarily----HUGE relief!  It's weird how things just work out :)

Especially when there are crazy-nice people out there willing to lend you a hand in time of need *pleasant sigh*

Above:  The day the majority of our belongings went into big storage containers and we said, "Adios" to a house we never bonded with.
It was a stressful but Oh-So-Happy day :)

Above:  The morning after our move---waking up in paradise.....
...and planning the next stage of the move:  The re-do of the new house (which needs a lot of love and care).
*Our new house sits on over an acre.
*The zoning of the new neighborhood is such that no homes can be built on less than an acre (some sit on a lot more).
There is *space*---loads and loads of space between the houses.
*There are wild turkeys and deer all over the place.
*There are three ornamental ponds in the back yard...
...AND a fire pit!
*And there are a ton of kids in the neighborhood for the girls to play with  :)

Christmas, 2014

Best.   Christmas.  Ever.

Reading their last note from Snitch for the year.
:(

Two GREAT new strategy games...the girls looooove them....

Nerf guns from the Schroeders....
..... a definite hit!

And their first venture into
computer programming ...
...this is a Tim-thing.
:)

Christmas breakfast.
The idea was a lot better than the results.

The girls got an Endo Board
from Uncle Bill and Aunt Jill.
This is hands-down their favorite gift this Christmas....
...they are on it every.single.day.
And so far no broken bones!
(Yay!)

I love my life :)

25 days of Snitch!

This year Snitch, our Christmas elf, left 25 awesome things for the girls to do everyday leading up to Christmas.

Day 1 began with some peppermint bubble bath for the girls to use to "relax" since he was planning a very busy month :)

...Making the bird feeders...

 ....Making homemade cinnamon buns...

...The completed gingerbread houses Snitch left for the girls to make...

...making Christmas pancakes...

 ...going ice skating...

... making those gingerbread cookies to give to Santa...

...watching The Polar Express before bed...

...with their bells (they believe :)

...the offering of the cookies...

...and some food for the reindeer left on the roof...

This was the best Christmas season ever!
